<item><title>Two weeks to go...</title><guid>http://www.jeanniesamson.com/log/post_299404684_balance_-_jeannie_samsons_triathlon_blog.htm</guid><description>&lt;p&gt;There are 15 days until I compete in Portland, Oregon for the Age-Group National Championship Triathlon.&amp;nbsp; The race is Saturday, June 30.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; I am very excited about the opportunity to compete at this event.&amp;nbsp; I have worked very hard to be the best I can be, and just being accepted into the race has been a great accomplishment that I am proud of!&amp;nbsp; I have stepped up my commitment to getting enough rest, eating well, training hard, and being confident in my abilities!&amp;nbsp; I got second place at the Danskin Women's Triathlon this past weekend!&amp;nbsp; Congratulations to 14 year old Avery Visser of Austin for her tremendous accomplishment of winning the race!&amp;nbsp; I think she will go far in the sport of triathlon - she is so talented, hard working, and she has GREAT parents!!&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Next time she will have to compete in the elite wave so I can try to catch her!!&amp;nbsp; Thanks to my husband Jude, two of my kids, Shanti and David, and my parents, Jane and Jack Underhill (who flew in from Virginia), for getting up at 4:30am and starnding in the scorching heat all day to watch me race!!&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</description><pubDate>Fri, 15 Jun 2007 16:35:35 GMT</pubDate></item>
