<?xml version="1.0" ?><rss version="2.0"><channel><title>Balance - Jeannie Samson's Triathlon Blog</title><link>http://www.jeanniesamson.com/balance_-_jeannie_samsons_triathlon_blog.htm</link><description>Jeannie Samson</description><pubDate>Tue, 25 Sep 2007 19:38:41 GMT</pubDate><lastBuildDate>Fri, 13 Aug 2010 11:47:59 GMT</lastBuildDate><generator>Levelfield</generator><item><title>Back to Training.....</title><guid>http://www.jeanniesamson.com/log/post_316168312_balance_-_jeannie_samsons_triathlon_blog.htm</guid><description>&lt;p&gt;This week I started to train again.&amp;nbsp; I am on a fairly light schedule, but plenty of swimming, biking, and running to keep me in great shape.&amp;nbsp; Yesterday I had an AWESOME&amp;nbsp; bike session in my neighborhood.&amp;nbsp; I live in a great area of town that has some tough hills.&amp;nbsp; It was so fun to get out there and enjoy going FAST on my bike!!&amp;nbsp; Getting in the pool was great too - the water somehow just clears the mind and refreshes the body like nothing else.&amp;nbsp; THANKS for reading my blog!&amp;nbsp; I would love to hear from you if you have any comments!&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;p&gt;One more thing,&amp;nbsp; I just wanted to shout out a BIG THANK YOU to George from Larabar for the products he has been sending me.&amp;nbsp; If you don't know about Larabars, they are the most natural and delicious nutrition bars out there - made only from dates, nuts, other fruit and spices.&amp;nbsp; JUST FABULOUS and healthy!&amp;nbsp; My favorite&amp;nbsp;flavor is Apple Pie. &amp;nbsp;Visit &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.larabar.com&quot;&gt;www.larabar.com&lt;/a&gt; for more info.&lt;/p&gt;</description><pubDate>Tue, 25 Sep 2007 19:38:41 GMT</pubDate></item><item><title>Down Time....</title><guid>http://www.jeanniesamson.com/log/post_314342272_balance_-_jeannie_samsons_triathlon_blog.htm</guid><description>I am feeling good after my big race, and have decided not to do any more triathlons this year.&amp;nbsp; I took one week off training, and am doing light exercise for a few weeks to recover from the season of hard work.&amp;nbsp; I have been spending more time with the kids and my husband, and putting in additional hours volunteering at our elementary school.&amp;nbsp; Aliya started Kindergarten a few weeks ago, and is doing ok.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; She has shed some tears this past week&amp;nbsp;from being tired and missing her Mom, but today was TEAR FREE!&amp;nbsp; Asha, David, and Shanti are all doing well in their new classes and schedules.&amp;nbsp; I have gotten lots of compliments on what great kids we have!&amp;nbsp; I already know that, but it's great to hear from others that all our hard work to do the right thing (not the popular thing) is paying off.</description><pubDate>Thu, 13 Sep 2007 15:36:16 GMT</pubDate></item><item><title>My time in Germany.....</title><guid>http://www.jeanniesamson.com/log/post_313274582_balance_-_jeannie_samsons_triathlon_blog.htm</guid><description>Sunday was the 2007 ITU Age Group World Championship Triathlon in Hamburg, Germany.&amp;nbsp; Jude and I were able to get away together for&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;this great adventure. &amp;nbsp; I was very happy I bought two rain ponchos for the trip, as we used them in the cold, rainy weather the first two days we were there.&amp;nbsp; Hamburg is a great place, and we enjoyed seeing the city and meeting other athletes on Team USA.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; I was very happy that the weather was good for race day - no rain and cool temperatures made for perfect conditions for racing.&amp;nbsp; The race was a success, as I went hard, kept a positive attitude, and had fun!&amp;nbsp; I was 9th in&amp;nbsp;my age group and 85th overall.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;My results were not what I had hoped for (I wanted to win my age group), but the experience was amazing, and once again I was so honored to represent the United States in another great race.&amp;nbsp; I am hopeful that I can improve next year in all the races that I do.</description><pubDate>Thu, 6 Sep 2007 09:18:18 GMT</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
