Those kinds of things have been happening to me lately and I have been listening more. I still have a TON of stuff to work on and I'm just begninng to scratch the surface of this part of my spriritual life, but it's so interesting and just plain fun. Have a GREAT weekend.

Learning new things every day....

This week has been a great training week so far. I am starting to increase the volume and do a few speed workouts. My friend Karen Burks gave me a fabulous birthday gift last month - a fancy Polar Heart Rate monitor! I have been using it with most of my bike and run sessions, and have learned a lot from watching my heart rate throughout the workout. One of the things I have learned is that on easy training days my heart rate has been WAY too high! I have been adjusting that quite a bit in the last few days, and I seem to be less tired and recovering more quickly from my workouts. The purpose of easy workouts is for recovery and aerobic training - it's amazing what you can learn when you pay attention to the little things!!
