Balance - Jeannie Samson's Triathlon Blog
This is a test
Two weeks to go... There are 15 days until I compete in Portland, Oregon for the Age-Group National Championship Triathlon. The race is Saturday, June 30. I am very excited about the opportunity to compete at this event. I have worked very hard to be the best I can be, and just being accepted into the race has been a great accomplishment that I am proud of! I have stepped up my commitment to getting enough rest, eating well, training hard, and being confident in my abilities! I got second place at the Danskin Women's Triathlon this past weekend! Congratulations to 14 year old Avery Visser of Austin for her tremendous accomplishment of winning the race! I think she will go far in the sport of triathlon - she is so talented, hard working, and she has GREAT parents!! Next time she will have to compete in the elite wave so I can try to catch her!! Thanks to my husband Jude, two of my kids, Shanti and David, and my parents, Jane and Jack Underhill (who flew in from Virginia), for getting up at 4:30am and starnding in the scorching heat all day to watch me race!! |
