Balance - Jeannie Samson's Triathlon Blog
This is a test
Yoga and Strength... Hello to all reading this blog!! Thanks for stopping by after no updates for a while. Since my last blog entry I have continued to experience the healing benefits of Bikram Yoga. I am now going to a great studio called YOGAGROOVE near Anderson Ln and Shoal Creek. I have enjoyed getting to know the great instructors there. My back seems to be getting stronger and more flexible, but I have still not been able to run and bike pain free. Swimming has no pain now, so that's a great thing!! I have also been doing weight training, physical therapy exercises, and stretching. My cardio exercise is limited to mostly swimming and the elliptical trainer. I am a lot less fit than when I was training a lot and racing, but I think this is the best thing for my body right now. I am really excited to spend more time with my kids and my husband lately. We go to the track just before dusk most days with my mother-in-law so she can get some exercise. She is feeling much better now after several months of illness. The kids started school and are loving it! Jude and I are extremely thankful for our relationship as always, but are having more fun nights out together as a couple. For all those married parents out there, make time for just you and your spouse. It will go a long way to maintaining and even creating more of a fun and exciting marriage. Namaste (A Sanskrit work meaning "I bow to the divine in you" - sometimes used at the end of Yoga classes to thank students for coming, and students thanking the teacher) |
