Perspective.... The other day I was doing a long bike ride on my Cervelo P3 inside on my Computrainer. Normally when I am on the bike I make sure there is someone else to manage the kids so I can concentrate and push hard. This day was an easy day, and the first day of school for the 3 oldest kids, so I let my 4 year old daughter Aliya watch the Heffalump Movie in my room. As I was sitting there looking at my watch and my average WATTS (power produced on my bike), I saw Tigger in the background bouncing and lisping. Aliya laughed so hard, then said she had to go potty. Then....."MOM, I POOPED!" Since she only started doing that in the potty in the last few months, she needs help cleaning herself - SO....I got off the bike and helped her. It goes to show that triathletes come in all forms - this incident reminded me not to take myself too seriously!! |
